Holiday Wine and Cheese Pairing
The Great Taste, presented by Market of Choice, was a wonderful evening with all our friends, fine wine, cheese, chocolate and other delicacies and just a hint of the holidays.
With the help and direction of our wonderful event chairs, Lisa and Tim Clevenger and Linnet and Greg O’Hanlon, we celebrated our 15th year of The Great Taste with a strong turnout and extraordinary show of generosity to make it our most successful to date. The Market of Choice wine and cheese stewards were on-hand to share their selections and expertise! Guests had the opportunity to sample as many as 50 varieties of wine, a delicious selection of cheeses, chocolates, artisan meats, pâté, and other accompaniments from all corners of the globe!
Back this year was an expanded Wall of Wine, made possible by donations from community members and many local wineries.
The Private Tasting Room, an exclusive area where the tasting selections are hand-picked by Steve Johnson, was once again a guest favorite and hosted a sell-out crowd for the second year in a row!
Full City Coffee Roasters provided delicious, warm coffee drinks and we were glad to host Bergström Wines, Cameron Winery, Evesham WoodVineyard, Haden Fig wines, Westrey Wine Company, Fire Mountain Brew House and Heater Allen Brewery as featured vendors pouring their wine and specialty beer selections. Also delicious was the sweet selections from Cherry Country, Cranberry Sweets, Lillie Belle Farms, and Vosges Haute Chocolate - everything you sampled at The Great Taste is available at your local Market of Choice!
Congratulations to Sandi and Jerry South for winning the fantastic prize of the getaway weekend to the Allison Inn and Spa in Newberg – they are sure to have an amazing time thanks to the contributions of the Allison Inn and Spa, Lisa and Tim Clevenger, PacficSource Health Plans, and Wells Fargo Insurance Services!
